“When it comes to mammograms, mother knows best.”

This mother and daughter pair love the convenience of getting their mammograms done close to home at Rhea Medical Center!

For more than 20 years, 93-year-old Lennie Sneed (left) has been going to Rhea Medical Center for her annual mammogram. Then, about five years ago, she convinced her daughter, Mary Price (right), to join her. The two schedule their mammogram appointments back-to-back so they can be there to support each other.

“I had been traveling to Chattanooga for my mammograms, and that was quite a hassle,” Mary says. “I would have to drive for at least 45 minutes one way, deal with the traffic, and then have to wait 30 or 35 minutes in the waiting room before I was even seen. Going to Rhea Medical saves me all that trouble. I’m in and out of there in 30 minutes.”

Rhea Medical Center also makes mammography more convenient for women by offering after-hours appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In addition to the convenience, Mary and Lennie also appreciate the care the staff at Rhea Medical Center provides. “They are more personal, and they take the time to make you feel comfortable,” Mary says.

“My daughter is in her mid-30s, so it’s not quite time for her to start having a mammogram exam,” Mary says. “But when she does, I’m going to strongly encourage to her choose Rhea Medical Center and keep it in the family!”
