POSITION: Surgical Tech/CST

DEPARTMENT: Surgery

HOURS: PRN Day Shift; hours will vary, On call hours required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
  2. National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification as a surgical technologist
  3. Must have or acquire BLS certification within 6 month of employment
  4. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to children through the elder adult.
  5. Exhibits excellent customer service skills.
  6. Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, lift up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance.
  7. Able to operate surgical equipment, understand and respond to verbal and visual commands.
  8. Prior experience assisting in surgery is preferred.

SUMMARY:  Serves as member of the nursing team.  Positions available in Med/Surg, Emergency and Surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’sdegree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  2. Currently  licensed as an RN in Tennessee or compact state.
  3. BLS,ACLS and PALS certification required (or obtains within 6 months ofemployment).
  4. Mustexhibit excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients,visitors and fellow employees.
  5. Abilityto stand, walk for long periods, stoop, bend, lift up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance. Able to see, hear, communicate and function competently and independently as part of a surgical team.
  6. Able to assess patients vital signs, condition, recognizing need for intervention.
  7. For Emergency and Surgery Departments, at least one year of work experience in those departments is required.

POSITION:                RN – Medical/Surgical Dept.

HOURS:                     Full-Time (Night Shift 7 pm – 7 am)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  1. Current licensure as an RN in Tennessee or compact state.
  1. BLS certification required (obtain within 6 months of employment). ACLS certification preferred.
  1. Must be able to successfully pass N95 respirator fit test.
  1. Prior experience in hospital nursing preferred.

JOB POSTING

POSITION:               Phlebotomist

DEPARTMENT:      Laboratory

HOURS:                     PRN (As Needed) – Serious inquiries only & MUST be available to work all shifts. This includes nights & weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Certified Phlebotomist or Certified Medical Assistant with at least one year experience REQUIRED.
  2. Knowledge of general lab tests.
  3. Ability to effectively communicate with lab personnel, doctors, patients and visitors.
  4. Valid driver’s license to perform courier service for laboratory department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform as a phlebotomist, help with incoming specimens and check if appropriate information is completed on the lab order.
  2. Perform phlebotomy for inpatients and outpatients.
  3. Assist Lab Technician with testing and lab procedures.
  4. Mail/fax patient reports to doctors and other health care facilities.
  5. Drug screen collections.

JOB POSTING

POSITION:                 Medical Assistant

DEPARTMENT:          Physician Practice-Dayton

HOURS:                      Full-Time (possible weekends or evenings)

SUMMARY:                           Assists physician with in-office patient visits.  Obtains patient information, enters information on patient chart.  Prepares patients for examination, obtains and records preliminary physical tests such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight. Prepares and maintains patient care equipment, maintains inventory of patient care supplies.  Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment. Position also requires front desk clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate and Medical Assistant certification or comparable work experience to substitute for certification.
  2. Two years experience in physician office preferred.
  3. BLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
  4. Knowledge of EKG testing.
  5. Phlebotomy skills with ability to do simple lab tests.
  6. Organizational skills.
  7. Able to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, walk, kneel. Able to assist patients with ambulation and positioning on exam table.  Visual and auditory skills to operate patient care equipment.
  8. Excellent customer service skills.

TITLE:                    Pharmacy Technician – PRN

DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy

REPORTS TO:      Pharmacy Director/Staff Pharmacist

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Stocks automated dispensing system, delivers medications to nursing staff, prepares medication carts, compounds USP 797 compliant sterile products, performs monthly inspections of medication rooms, cleans pharmacy, gathers and records data for performance improvement, reviews daily charge reconciliation reports, maintains pharmacy inventory.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma, or equivalent, training in general clerical and computer skills preferred.

Licensure:  Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required.  PTCB Certification preferred.

Experience: Experience with medical terminology, at least one year pharmacy experience preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands: May lift up to 25 lbs occasionally, bending, stretching, and stooping to stock pharmacy shelves, carts. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, visual discrimination.

JOB POSTING

POSITION:                 Plant Op Tech

HOURS:                                  Full-Time:

DUTIES:                                  Under general direction performs plant operation/maintenance duties of specified nature in assigned area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:      High school diploma or GED preferred.  Must have ability to read, write and

follow instructions.

                       

Experience:    At least one year of general maintenance experience required.  Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

 

Physical Demands:    Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move objects.  Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and handling tools and other small objects, walking, standing, smelling, hearing and visual discrimination. Able to climb ladder to access roof of building.

 

Travel: Possess a valid driver’s license; may pick up and deliver supplies and equipment using RMC vehicle.

 

Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside.  Subject to temperature change and weather exposure.  Potential hazard exposures include:  noise, electrical current, machinery with moving parts, work on scaffolding, ladders, rooftops, fumes, chemical exposure and respiration of particulate matter.

 

Complexity of Duties: Work is generally routine or standardized, but involves choice of action within limits defined by standard practices and instructions.  Requires application of established rules and procedures.  Decisions required may affect quality, accuracy or utility of results.

POSITION:                Registered Respiratory Therapist

JOB SUMMARY:      Performs therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures as ordered by the physician.  Must possess the ability and skill to provide the required care to patients ranging from infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  2. Licensed by State of Tennessee as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  3. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification or able to obtain within 6 months.
  4. One year hospital experience preferred.
  5. Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with staff and patients especially in responding to complaints and problems.
  6. Successfully fit test for N95 respirator.
