JOB POSTING

POSITION:                Medical Assistant – Receptionist

DEPARTMENT:        Physician Practice-Spring City – New Physician’s Office

HOURS:                     Full-Time (possible weekends or evenings)

SUMMARY:                          Assists physician with in-office patient visits.  Obtains patient information, enters information on patient chart.  Prepares patients for examination, obtains and records preliminary physical tests such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight. Prepares and maintains patient care equipment, maintains inventory of patient care supplies.  Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment. Position also requires front desk clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate and Medical Assistant certification or comparable work experience to substitute for certification.
  2. Two years experience in physician office preferred.
  3. BLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
  4. Knowledge of EKG testing.
  5. Phlebotomy skills with ability to do simple lab tests.
  6. Organizational skills.
  7. Able to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, walk, kneel. Able to assist patients with ambulation and positioning on exam table.  Visual and auditory skills to operate patient care equipment.
  8. Excellent customer service skills.

POSITION:                            Health Informatics Specialist

DEPARTMENT:        Information Technology

HOURS:                     Full time

JOB SUMMARY:      Assists with the implementation of technology in a health care setting.  Facilitates communication between IT, vendors, and staff regarding clinical IT applications. Responsible for training staff and creating educational documents for any systems and procedures. Responsible for troubleshooting and assisting staff when problems arise. Assists IT Director with systems operations.  Serves as a resource for staff for general computer use.  Rotates on-call hours nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’s degree in clinical field (Nursing, Radiology, Respiratory, or other) preferred, additional training in computer software applications preferred but not required.
  1. Direct patient care experience in a hospital setting.
  1. Experience with EMR software.
  1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  1. Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills.

  1. Clinical experience obtained in nursing school and through work experience including an advanced knowledge of pathophysiology and physical assessment. Prior experience in Emergency Department strongly preferred.

JOB POSTING

POSITION:                 Unit Clerk – Full Time

DEPARTMENT:        Emergency Dept

HOURS:                      Full Time PM Shift 7PM – 7AM

JOB SUMMARY:      Provides clerical support to the Emergency Dept. staff by providing information management support, retrieves records and test results, makes copies, faxes, assists with patient registration and admissions, handles incoming calls and requests for information, orders supplies and maintains stock.  May assist with patient care activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  1. Experience in patient contact position in a health care setting, or completion of nursing, medical assistant, nurse aide or EMT courses also accepted. Must be able to assist with patient care tasks.
  1. Must be able to handle a high volume of communications in person and by phone.

Must be able to assist a wide variety of customers with patience, tact and diplomacy.

Maintaining confidentiality is essential.

  1. Proficient with computer applications such as internet use, Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar programs. Experience with electronic medical record preferred.
  1. Successfully complete N-95 respirator fit test and post offer physical assessment.
