SUMMARY:  Serves as member of the nursing team.  Positions available in Med/Surg, Emergency and Surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’sdegree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  2. Currently  licensed as an RN in Tennessee or compact state.
  3. BLS,ACLS and PALS certification required (or obtains within 6 months ofemployment).
  4. Mustexhibit excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients,visitors and fellow employees.
  5. Abilityto stand, walk for long periods, stoop, bend, lift up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance. Able to see, hear, communicate and function competently and independently as part of a surgical team.
  6. Able to assess patients vital signs, condition, recognizing need for intervention.
  7. For Emergency and Surgery Departments, at least one year of work experience in those departments is required.

HOURS:                     Full-Time (Night Shift 7 pm – 7 am)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  1. Current licensure as an RN in Tennessee or compact state.

JOB POSTING

TITLE:                    Pharmacy Technician – PRN

DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy

REPORTS TO:      Pharmacy Director/Staff Pharmacist

 

JOB SUMMARY:
Stocks automated dispensing system, delivers medications to nursing staff, prepares medication carts, compounds USP 797 compliant sterile products, performs monthly inspections of medication rooms, cleans pharmacy, gathers and records data for performance improvement, reviews daily charge reconciliation reports, maintains pharmacy inventory.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma, or equivalent, training in general clerical and computer skills preferred.

Licensure:  Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required.  PTCB Certification preferred.

Experience: Experience with medical terminology, at least one year pharmacy experience preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands: May lift up to 25 lbs occasionally, bending, stretching, and stooping to stock pharmacy shelves, carts. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, visual discrimination.

POSITION:                RN – Charge Nurse (Emergency Department)

HOURS:                     Full-Time – Night Shift (7 pm – 7 am)

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Current Tennessee RN license. BSN strongly preferred.
  2. BLS, ACLS and PALS certification, or obtain within 6 months of employment
  3. Complete a successful fit test for N95 respirator.
  4. Responsible for department staffing, orientation, training and evaluation.
  5. Develops and implements department policies and regulatory compliance.
  6. Directs performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives.
  7. At least one year of experience as a charge nurse or other supervisory responsibilities

required.

  1. Able to be on-call as needed. Must be flexible with schedule to cover additional/rotating

HOURS:                     Full time

JOB SUMMARY:      Responsible for day to day precertification of patients for insurance benefits an updates. Audits all patient charts for severity of illness and intensity of service to ensure patients’ treatment is appropriate and carried out in a timely manner. Responsible for Discharge Planning and Swing Bed Services. Involved in Performance Improvement activities.

POSITION:                HIS Director/Privacy Officer

 

DEPARTMENT:       Health Information Services

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for implementation of standards of the Information Management, Record of Care, and Medical Staff Chapters of Joint Commission Manual, for all policies and procedures, and to direct the activities of the Health Information Services Department and Medical Staff Services.  Also assumes the responsibility of Privacy Officer and HIPAA Coordinator.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Education:   Associate Degree in Health Information Technology or appropriate experience required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  1. Experience:  Minimum of three years supervisory experience, knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, HIPPA Regulations, Organization and management experience required.  Familiar with dictation equipment, computer skills, and legal experience. Previous experience in healthcare preferred particularly with Joint Commission Accreditation.
  1. Licensure/Certification: RHIA or RHIT certification required..
  1. Skills: Problem-solving, customer service and organizational skills are essential. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

JOB POSTING

POSITION:                Unit Clerk

DEPARTMENT:        Emergency Dept

HOURS:                     PRN    – Days, Nights, Weekends

JOB SUMMARY:      Provides clerical support to the Emergency Dept. staff by providing information management support, retrieves records and test results, makes copies, faxes, assists with patient registration and admissions, handles incoming calls and requests for information, orders supplies and maintains stock.  May assist with patient care activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  1. Experience in patient contact position in a health care setting, or completion of nursing, medical assistant, nurse aide or EMT courses also accepted. Must be able to assist with patient care tasks.
  1. Must be able to handle a high volume of communications in person and by phone.

Must be able to assist a wide variety of customers with patience, tact and diplomacy.

Maintaining confidentiality is essential.

  1. Proficient with computer applications such as internet use, Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar programs. Experience with electronic medical record preferred.
