POSITION:                Medical Assistant – Receptionist

DEPARTMENT:        Physician Practice-Spring City – New Physician’s Office

HOURS:                     Full-Time (possible weekends or evenings)

SUMMARY:                          Assists physician with in-office patient visits.  Obtains patient information, enters information on patient chart.  Prepares patients for examination, obtains and records preliminary physical tests such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight. Prepares and maintains patient care equipment, maintains inventory of patient care supplies.  Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment. Position also requires front desk clerical duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school graduate and Medical Assistant certification or comparable work experience to substitute for certification.
  2. Two years experience in physician office preferred.
  3. BLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
  4. Knowledge of EKG testing.
  5. Phlebotomy skills with ability to do simple lab tests.
  6. Organizational skills.

Position Summary

The nurse practitioner works in collaboration with the physician in the hospital-based outpatient setting with patients who have chronic pain. The nurse practitioner works primarily in the outpatient pain management department. They will require a high level of independent clinical decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly motivated and team oriented
  • Aim to practice with a safe, balanced approach to pain management
  • Graduated from an accredited CNP program
  • Current NP license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing (preferred)
  • Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC, AANP, etc…)
  • Requires full prescriptive authority upon employment.
  • Current DEA / DEA eligible in the State of Tennessee
  • CPR certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
  • 3-5 years clinical nursing practice in a hospital setting

POSITION:                              Receptionist

DEPARTMENT:          Physician Group – Dayton location

HOURS:                      Full Time

SUMMARY:

The Receptionist is a vital part of the team in the delivery of primary care in an
ambulatory setting.  The receptionist works under the supervision of the Practice Manager.
They are responsible for greeting patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, determining their needs and directing them accordingly.
Additionally, they will collect demographic and financial information.
Responsible for performing assigned duties within practice policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate, college preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in physician office setting. Knowledge of Electronic Health Record and the various insurance company rules and regulations preferred.
Skills: Ability to communicate with doctors, patients, and visitors.  The employee
must demonstrate the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
age of the patient served on his or her assigned area. Must have basic computer skills.
