  • With your right to an appropriate assessment and management of your pain, we will expect you to:
  • Ask your doctor or nurse what to expect
  • Discuss pain control options with your doctors and nurses
  • Work with your doctor and nurse to make a pain control plan
  • Notify nursing personnel when pain first begins
  • Help the doctor or nurse measure your pain
  • Tell the doctor or nurse about any pain that will not go away
